Both phones we are comparing here come with Android OS, but the Galaxy S5 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Motorola Moto G31 has Android 11 version.

Galaxy S5 counts with a little better hardware performance than Moto G31, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and a lower number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Galaxy S5 has a much better screen than Moto G31, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a higher screen pixel density.

The Moto G31 features much more memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S5, because it has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB and 32 GB more internal memory capacity. The Moto G31 counts with a way better battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 79 percent more battery capacity.

Moto G31 takes a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Moto G31 also has a back camera with much more mega pixels and a bigger diafragm aperture.
