Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has an overall score of 80.8, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy A40's 79.6 global score. Although it's the best phone in our current comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is an a lot older, a bit thicker and just a little heavier phone than Samsung Galaxy A40. These phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy S5 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has 4 lesser processing cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy A40, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, it also counts with a higher pixel count in each inch of screen.

The Galaxy A40 has much more memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 32 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy A40 counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy S5, because it has an 11% greater battery size.

Galaxy S5 takes a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a lot smaller aperture, and they both have a same resolution back camera, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a bigger camera sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
