Galaxy S5 has a score of 80.8, which is a bit better than the Galaxy A5 (2017)'s 75.8 overall score. The Galaxy S5 is a much older and just a little thicker cellphone than Galaxy A5 (2017), but Samsung managed to make it just a little lighter anyway. The Galaxy S5 has a more vivid screen than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have an equal 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Galaxy S5 also counts with more pixels per inch of display.

Galaxy A5 (2017) has just a bit bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A5 (2017) also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 256 GB. Galaxy S5 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has an inferior number of cores (although faster), and they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a graphics co-processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking images and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same resolution back-facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
