Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Edge has a score of 85.7, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S5's 80.8 general score. Galaxy S6 Edge is a newer cellphone, and it is also somewhat thinner and a little bit lighter than the Galaxy S5. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Galaxy S6 Edge has a newer 5.0 version while Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2, providing the user a couple nice extra features.
The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy S5, and although they both have a display with the same size and the same screen density, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a higher 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a much greater memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also has a much better graphics co-processor running at 650 megahertz, a 64-bit processing unit and more CPU cores (although they are slower).
Galaxy S5 has a superior camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and videos, they both have a 16 MP resolution camera, the same video frame rates, the same video resolution and the same sensor size. Samsung Galaxy S5 has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy S6 Edge, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S5, giving up some specifications.
