Comparison review

Galaxy S5 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S7, with a score of 80.8 against 79.5. The Galaxy S5 body is just a little lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S7, although it is just a little bit thicker and was released only 21 months before. The Galaxy S5 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy S7, although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, they both have a same size screen and the same pixels density.

Samsung Galaxy S7 has a little bit better storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S5, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy S7 also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 200 GB. Galaxy S5 counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy S7, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S5 also counts with an additional graphics processor.

Galaxy S7 counts with just a bit better battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has a 7 percent more battery size. The Samsung Galaxy S5 takes clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy S7, because although it has a smaller sensor capturing worse quality photographs and videos and a lot smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a back camera with a way better resolution.

Although Galaxy S5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S7. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S7, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
