Samsung Galaxy S5 is a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge, getting a score of 80.8 against 78.1. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S5 has an older 4.4.2 version while Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is an older and just a little bit thicker cellphone than the Galaxy S7 edge, but Samsung made it just a little bit lighter anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a brighter screen than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a little bit higher screen pixel density. Galaxy S5 features a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Galaxy S5 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit more memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy S7 edge also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 200 GB. The Galaxy S5 costs more than Galaxy S7 edge, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
