Comparison review
The Galaxy S5 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, having an 80.8 score against 77.5. Even though Galaxy S5 is older and just a little thicker than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, it's construction is still noticeably lighter. Samsung Galaxy S5 features a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a lower number of cores and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
Galaxy S5 has a much better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a way greater pixels number per screen inch. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features much more storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S5, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a same size aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has a bigger sensor which provides a better photo and video quality and a back camera with way more mega-pixels.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has an 89 percent greater battery size.
Although Galaxy S5 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
