Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has an overall score of 81.2, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5's 80.8 overall score. Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is incredibly heavier than Samsung Galaxy S5, it's a bit thinner and also notably newer. Samsung Galaxy S5 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 count with similar processing units, because although the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory and more cores (but slower).
The Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixels density. Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photographs or videos in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a back-facing camera with much more MP and a larger back camera sensor which gives a better image and video quality.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a superior memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S5. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S5, giving up some specs and features.
