Comparison review
Galaxy S5 is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, getting a overall score of 80.8 against 76.6. Both phones we compare here have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, so it offers a couple additional features and improved performance. The Galaxy S5 body is incredibly lighter and a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, even though it was released many years before.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixel density. The Galaxy S5 has a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has 4 less processing cores , and they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy S5 also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a much higher 48 MP resolution camera in the back, a larger aperture to capture better photography and video in low light environments and a way larger sensor providing a way higher image quality.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a much greater memory for games and applications than Galaxy S5, and although they both have an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has 64 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S5, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, resigning a couple features and specifications.
