The Galaxy S5 has a general score of 80.8, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's overall score of 79. Both phones we are comparing here have Android operating system, but Galaxy S5 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11. Galaxy S5's body is a lot lighter and a bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, although it was released many years before.
Galaxy S5 features a way better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a better pixel density. The Galaxy S5 features a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has lesser RAM memory and less cores (although faster), it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 512 GB and 32 GB more internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a larger aperture to capture better low-light captures and video, a way more MP back-facing camera and a way larger sensor which gives a way higher photo and video quality.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a way better battery duration than Galaxy S5, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
