The Google Pixel 4 XL has a score of 82.9, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 general score. The Google Pixel 4 XL body has the same thickness than the Galaxy S5 Plus, but it's way heavier. Galaxy S5 Plus features a slightly better screen than Google Pixel 4 XL, although it has a just a bit lower amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a quite smaller screen and a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The Google Pixel 4 XL counts with a better storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. Google Pixel 4 XL counts with a little bit better processing power than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and a larger number of cores.
Google Pixel 4 XL has superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 3700mAh battery size. Google Pixel 4 XL's camera is just as good as the camera in Galaxy S5 Plus, because although the Google Pixel 4 XL has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a way less mega-pixels back camera, it also counts with a way bigger aperture to capture better low light photos and videos and a bigger sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures.
Although Google Pixel 4 XL is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Pixel 4 XL, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, resigning some specs and features.
