Huawei Mate 20 is just a bit better than the Galaxy S5 Plus, with a 79.5 score against 78.1. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and a performance increase. Huawei Mate 20 is a much newer device than the Galaxy S5 Plus, although it is just a bit thicker and a lot heavier.
Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with 4 more cores and more RAM. Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater screen density.
The Huawei Mate 20 features a much greater storage for games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate 20 features a superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Huawei Mate 20 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a much less MP resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a bigger aperture and a larger sensor.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, letting go a couple features and specifications.
