Huawei Mate 20 Pro has an overall score of 82.9, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 overall score. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro design is noticeably newer than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's, but it is noticeably heavier and a bit thicker. Galaxy S5 Plus features just a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, although it has a really smaller display, a little less pixels per inch of screen and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a much bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and more RAM.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro takes much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels, a much bigger back camera sensor taking much higher quality photos and a bigger camera aperture to capture better low light photography and videos.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much longer battery life than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 4200mAh battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S5 Plus, letting go a couple specs and features.
