The Huawei Mate 30 5G is much better than the Galaxy S5 Plus, having a score of 87.4 against 78.1. Huawei Mate 30 5G's body is a lot newer than Galaxy S5 Plus's, although it is a little thicker and a lot heavier. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 30 5G has an older 10 version while Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a better screen than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a little lower 1920 x 1080px resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher pixel density. The Huawei Mate 30 5G counts with just a bit better performance than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and a higher amount of RAM.
Huawei Mate 30 5G features a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also has a lot larger back-facing camera sensor shooting much higher quality pictures and videos, higher 60 frames per second video frame rate, a bigger aperture to take better low-light captures and video and a camera in the back with a way higher resolution.
Huawei Mate 30 5G counts with a way bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
