The Galaxy S5 Plus has a global score of 78.1, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha's general score of 76.3. Galaxy S5 Plus's design is somewhat thicker and way heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Both phones in this comparison come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy S5 Plus has the older 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version.

The Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a better number of pixels per inch of display, a lot higher 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little bit bigger screen. Galaxy Alpha's processor is very similar to the CPU in Galaxy S5 Plus, and although the Galaxy Alpha has a slower graphics processing unit, they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has more storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds up to 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a same size aperture and the same video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus also has a camera in the back with way more mega pixels.

The Galaxy S5 Plus features a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.

Even being the best phone in this comparison, the Galaxy S5 Plus is also a bargain compared to others.
