Comparison review

Galaxy Note8 has a general score of 83, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 general score. Galaxy Note8's body is newer than Galaxy S5 Plus's, but it is way heavier and a little thicker. Both phones we compare here include Android OS, but the Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2, offering lots of additional features.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus and Galaxy Note8 count with incredibly similar processing units, because although the Galaxy Note8 has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (although slower). The Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Note8, although it has a lot worse 1920 x 1080px resolution, a little bit smaller display and a little lower pixel number in each inch of display.

Galaxy Note8 features a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 48 GB more internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that allows up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 and Galaxy S5 Plus feature similar cameras, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a lower video definition and a way worse resolution camera, it also counts with a larger back camera sensor and a way larger camera aperture.

Galaxy Note8 features better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S5 Plus. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
