Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Edge is just a bit better than Galaxy S5 Plus, getting an 85.7 score against 78.1. These devices include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S6 Edge has 5.0 version while Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2, so it provides the user some additional features and performance enhancements. The Galaxy S6 Edge construction is newer, just a bit lighter and thinner than the Galaxy S5 Plus.
The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a higher 2560 x 1440px resolution and a higher count of pixels per display inch. Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has more RAM, a better 650 MHz graphics processor, a higher number of cores (although slower) and a 64 bits processing unit.
The Galaxy S5 Plus shoots better photographs and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for shooting pictures or video in poorly lited situations, they both have a 16 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, the same back camera sensor size, the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality.
Galaxy S6 Edge features much more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a little longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, letting go some features and specs.
