Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is just a bit better than the Galaxy S7 Active, having a 78.1 score against 75.8. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is an older cellphone than the Galaxy S7 Active, but it is thinner and a lot lighter anyway. Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with an extra graphics processor.
The Galaxy S7 Active has just a bit better looking display than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Galaxy S7 Active also has a better screen density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560. The Galaxy S5 Plus takes just a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a lot smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a back facing camera with much more MP.
Galaxy S7 Active features a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 200 GB and 32 GB internal storage. Galaxy S7 Active counts with a superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 2800mAh.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus costs a bit more money than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
