Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is just a bit better than Galaxy S5 Plus, with an 81.4 score against 78.1. Both phones we are comparing here have Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2, so it gives some nice extra features and performance tweaks. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE's construction is incredibly newer and just a little thinner than the Galaxy S5 Plus's, although it's also a bit heavier.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE's processor is just as good as the processing unit in Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores (but slower). The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per display inch.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE captures much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has a much better resolution back camera, a way bigger camera sensor and a larger aperture for better photos and videos in poorly lited situations.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE counts with a lot bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE features a bit superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3070mAh of battery capacity.
