Galaxy S7 edge is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, getting a 78.1 score against 77.8. The Galaxy S7 edge design is newer, just a little bit lighter and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S7 edge has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has Android 4.4.2.
Galaxy S5 Sport features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy S7 edge, although it has a just a bit lower amount of pixels per inch of display, a quite smaller display and a much lower resolution of 1920 x 1080. Galaxy S7 edge counts with better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a 29% greater battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it costs a little more than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy S7 edge, else you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, letting go some specifications.
