Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a newer 10 version while Galaxy S6 Active has Android 5.0, so it provides you lots of additional features and increased performance.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active counts with just a little better processing power than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a 64-bits processor. Galaxy S6 Active has a brighter display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a bit worse 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, it also counts with a higher pixels density.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro takes much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, and although they both have the same video quality, the same video frame rates and a F1.9 aperture, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a camera with a way higher resolution and a way larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
