Huawei P40 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, with an 86.4 score against 80.9. These phones come with Android OS, but the Huawei P40 has a more recent 10 version while Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has Android 5.0 version, giving you a couple nice extra features. Galaxy S6 Active features a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy S6 Active also counts with a GPU and a 64 bits CPU.
Galaxy S6 Active has a better display than Huawei P40, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better display pixels density and a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution. The Huawei P40 captures a lot better pictures and videos than Galaxy S6 Active, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 also has a back-facing camera with a lot better 50 mega-pixels resolution and a much larger back camera sensor.
The Huawei P40 has a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory. Huawei P40 counts with a bit superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Huawei P40 is also cheaper than the Galaxy S6 Active, making it a very good choice.
