Comparison review
The Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active's 80.9 overall score. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has Android 5.0, providing a lot of extra features.
The Galaxy S6 Active counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a bit worse 2560 x 1440 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater pixel number per inch of screen. The Galaxy Note8 counts with a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S6 Active, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active counts with just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active also counts with a 64-bit CPU and an additional graphics processor. Galaxy Note8 features a better camera than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a lower video resolution and a back facing camera with lot less MP, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos and a larger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality pictures.
Galaxy S6 Active counts with a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 3500mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S6 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S6 Active. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy S6 Active, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
