Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 Active has an overall score of 80.9, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7's 79.5 general score. The Galaxy S6 Active design is thicker but noticeably lighter than Samsung Galaxy S7. Galaxy S6 Active has a little sharper display than Galaxy S7. They have the same amount of pixels in each inch in the display, a same size screen and an equal 2560 x 1440px resolution.
Galaxy S7 counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S6 Active. Both of them have equal internal storage. Galaxy S6 Active counts with a faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S7, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processor, a graphics processing unit and more cores.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active counts with a bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S7, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh. Galaxy S7 shoots better photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a much lower 12 mega pixels resolution back camera and a worse (4K) video quality, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture and a bigger back camera sensor.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S7. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S7, giving up a couple features and specs.
