Comparison review
Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S6 Active's 80.9 general score. The Galaxy S6 Active has just a bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Active also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and an additional graphics processor.
Galaxy S6 Active features a little more vivid display than Xperia 1, although it has a little worse pixels density, a really smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 2560 x 1440px. The Sony Xperia 1 features a very superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because it has 128 GB internal memory.
Galaxy S6 Active has just a little better battery performance than Xperia 1, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity. The Xperia 1 features a better camera than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a lower (4K) video quality and a way lower resolution back facing camera, and they both have a same size back-facing camera sensor, the Xperia 1 also counts with a larger diafragm aperture.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
