Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is better than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, with a 93.3 score against 80.9. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but Xperia 1 III has a newer 11 version while Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has Android 5.0 version, providing the user lots of additional features. Galaxy S6 Active features a little sharper screen than Xperia 1 III, although it has a much smaller display, a way worse 2560 x 1440 resolution and a just a bit lower display pixels density.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a bit better performance than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active also counts with a 64-bits processor and an extra graphics processor. The Sony Xperia 1 III takes a lot better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a lot less MP resolution camera and a worse (4K) video resolution, it also counts with a lot larger sensor providing a much higher image quality and a bigger aperture to capture better photos and video in poorly lited situations.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because it has 256 GB internal memory. The Xperia 1 III features superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3500mAh.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S6 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S6 Active. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy S6 Active, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
