Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 Active has an overall score of 80.9, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia Z3's 77.3 general score. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Galaxy S6 Active has a newer 5.0 version while Sony Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version, giving some nice extra features and performance improvements.
The Galaxy S6 Active features just a bit better display than Xperia Z3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a higher number of pixels per inch of screen. Galaxy S6 Active features a bit better hardware performance than Xperia Z3, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM, the Galaxy S6 Active also has a 64-bits CPU, 4 more CPU cores and a faster 650 megahertz GPU.
Xperia Z3 features a much bigger storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Both of them have equal internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has a 3500mAh battery size against 3200mAh.
Sony Xperia Z3 captures way better photographs and videos than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Z3 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor which gives a better image and video quality and a way more MP camera in the back.
Although Galaxy S6 Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xperia Z3, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
