Comparison review

The Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy S6's 87.4 overall score. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate X has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S6 has Android 5.0, offering a lot of extra features and optimized performance. Although Huawei Mate X is noticeably newer than Galaxy S6, it's a lot heavier and thicker.

Galaxy S6 counts with a bit better performance than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S6 also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and a GPU. Galaxy S6 has a better screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way smaller screen and a little lower 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, it also counts with a better pixels density.

The Huawei Mate X has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S6, because it has 512 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S6 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much lower resolution back-facing camera, a lot smaller sensor capturing less light and washed colors and a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for capturing photos or video in poorly lited environments.

Huawei Mate X features a much better battery life than Galaxy S6, because it has a 76 percent bigger battery size.

Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S6. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S6, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
