Samsung Galaxy S6 has an overall score of 87.4, which is better than the Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 general score. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy S6 has the older 5.0 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is an extremely older phone than the Motorola Edge 40, but Samsung was able to make it somewhat lighter and a little bit thinner.

The Galaxy S6 has a much faster processing unit than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and an additional GPU. Galaxy S6 counts with a brighter display than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a higher display pixels density and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The Motorola Edge 40 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy S6, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a back facing camera with a much better 50 megapixels resolution, a lot bigger camera sensor capturing much higher quality photographs and videos and a way larger camera aperture to capture better low-light photos and video.

Motorola Edge 40's storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to the Galaxy S6 one, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. Motorola Edge 40 features a much longer battery duration than Galaxy S6, because it has a 73 percent greater battery capacity.
