Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 is a little bit better than the Galaxy A40, with an 87.4 score against 79.6. Both phones we are comparing use Android operating system, but the Galaxy S6 has 5.0 version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version. Even though the Galaxy S6 is a lot older than Galaxy A40, it's construction is somewhat thinner and a little lighter.
Galaxy S6 features a faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S6 also counts with a graphics processing unit and a 64-bits processing unit. Galaxy S6 features a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixels density and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440.
Galaxy A40 has a better memory for games and applications than Galaxy S6, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy S6 captures slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for capturing pictures and video in low light environments, and they both have a 16 megapixels back camera, the Samsung Galaxy S6 also counts with a larger sensor and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Galaxy A40 counts with superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6, because it has a 22% more battery capacity.
