Comparison review
Galaxy S6 is a little bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium, having a global score of 87.4 against 79.8. These phones work with Android operating system, but Galaxy S6 has the older 5.0 version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1 version. Even when Galaxy S6 and the Xperia Z5 Premium were released with only a couple of months difference, Galaxy S6 is somewhat thinner and way lighter.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy S6, because it has a greater pixels amount in each inch in the screen, a much higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a little larger screen. Galaxy S6 has more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Galaxy S6 features a bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM and 8 cores, the Galaxy S6 also has a faster GPU working at 650 MHz and a 64 bits CPU. Xperia Z5 Premium has superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6, because it has a 3430mAh battery size against 2550mAh.
Xperia Z5 Premium shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a larger aperture, a lot more MP back facing camera and a larger sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality.
The Galaxy S6 is not only the best phones of the ones we compare here, but it's also by far the cheapest, making it an easy decision.
