Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 III is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, getting a 93.3 score against 85.7. The Sony Xperia 1 III design is much newer, but heavier and thicker than the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Both devices in this comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia 1 III has the newer 11 version while Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has Android 5.0, so it gives you lots of additional features and optimized performance.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a slightly better screen than Sony Xperia 1 III, although it has a just a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of display, a lot lower resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a way smaller display. Sony Xperia 1 III features a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 256 GB internal memory and a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB.

Xperia 1 III captures greater pictures and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a camera with a much lower resolution and a worse 3840x2160 video definition, it also counts with a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor which offers a way better image and video quality and a larger aperture for better images and video in low light situations.
