The Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is a bit better than Galaxy S6 Edge's 85.7 global score. Huawei Mate X's body is much newer than the Galaxy S6 Edge's, but it's noticeably thicker and way heavier. Both of these devices have Android OS, but Huawei Mate X has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S6 Edge has Android 5.0 version.

Galaxy S6 Edge features a little faster processing unit than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an extra graphics processor and a 64 bits processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a more vivid display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit worse 2560 x 1440 resolution, it also counts with a greater pixels density.

If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
