The Galaxy S6 Edge is slightly better than Galaxy A40, with a global score of 85.7 against 79.6. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 Edge has 5.0 version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11. Even though Galaxy S6 Edge is much older than the Galaxy A40, it's construction is a little bit thinner and just a little lighter.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has a greater hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an additional GPU and a 64 bits processor. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has an incredibly better screen than Galaxy A40, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution and a greater display density.
