Galaxy S6 Edge has a general score of 85.7, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S5's general score of 80.8. The Galaxy S6 Edge is a newer phone, and it is also just a little bit lighter and thinner than the Galaxy S5. Both phones in this comparison review include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S6 Edge has a newer 5.0 version and Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2 version, counting with some additional features.
Galaxy S6 Edge features a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same screen density and a screen of the same size, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a better 2560 x 1440 resolution. The Galaxy S6 Edge has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a greater number of cores , a 64 bits processing unit and a better 650 megahertz GPU.
Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a way bigger storage for applications and games than Galaxy S5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy S5 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for low light images and videos, they both have a camera in the back with a 16 mega pixels resolution, the same video frame rates, a same size back-facing camera sensor and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a little longer battery duration than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 2800mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S5. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Galaxy S5, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
