The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 general score. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a more recent 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2, providing some additional features and performance optimizations. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's design is newer, a little lighter and thinner than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a same size display, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also has a higher pixel density and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Galaxy S6 Edge features just a little better processing power than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 64 bits processor, 4 more cores , 1 GB more RAM and a better GPU working at 650 megahertz.

The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a way bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy S5 Plus captures much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low light images and video, they both have a same size camera sensor, a same resolution camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a bit longer battery performance than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 2800mAh battery size.

Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
