Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is slightly better than Galaxy S8 Active, having a overall score of 85.7 against 81.9. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is an much older cellphone than the Galaxy S8 Active, but it is extremely lighter and much thinner anyway. Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a much better looking screen than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little worse resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher display density.
The Galaxy S8 Active features a bit more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 256 GB. The Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has 1 GB less RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an additional graphics co-processor and a 64-bits CPU.
Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much better camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a camera in the back with a lot worse 12 MP resolution and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture for better low light images and video and a bigger back-facing camera sensor which offers a higher photo and video quality.
Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S8 Active. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Galaxy S8 Active, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
