The Sony Xperia 5 III is slightly better than the Galaxy S6 Edge, having a global score of 90.5 against 85.7. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia 5 III has a newer 11 version while Galaxy S6 Edge has Android 5.0 version, so it counts with some extra features and performance tweaks. Although the Sony Xperia 5 III is newer than the Galaxy S6 Edge, it's somewhat thicker and heavier.
Galaxy S6 Edge features a more vivid screen than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel amount in each inch of display and a quite better 2560 x 1440 resolution.
