Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy S7 Active, getting a 77.4 score against 75.8. The Huawei Mate 8 design weights the same than Galaxy S7 Active, but it's way thinner. Samsung Galaxy S7 Active counts with a much better display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a lot more pixels per inch of display.
Huawei Mate 8 counts with a superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Huawei Mate 8 also has more processing cores.
The Huawei Mate 8's battery duration is just as good as Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's battery lifetime. The Galaxy S7 Active features a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back facing camera with a much lower resolution, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a larger diafragm aperture for better photos and video in poorly lited environments.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S7 Active. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
