Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Alpha has an overall score of 76.3, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's overall score of 75.8. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha body is incredibly lighter and much thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a better looking display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px, a lot better screen density and a little larger display.
The Galaxy Alpha has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Galaxy Alpha also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Samsung Galaxy S7 Active counts with a lot bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 200 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active features a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Galaxy Alpha counts with a camera that's very similar to Galaxy S7 Active's camera, and although the Galaxy Alpha has a lot smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photographs in poorly lited environments, they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with a 12 mega pixels resolution.
Although Galaxy Alpha is a better device, it costs more money than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
