Xiaomi Mi MIX has a global score of 76.2, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 overall score. Even though the Xiaomi Mi MIX and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active were released only 5 months apart, the Xiaomi Mi MIX body is somewhat heavier but also much thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
The Galaxy S7 Active has a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have the same brightness, the Galaxy S7 Active also counts with a lot better screen pixel density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
Xiaomi Mi MIX has a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Both have 4 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit. The Xiaomi Mi MIX has a bit superior battery life than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh. The Xiaomi Mi MIX takes slightly better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low light captures, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xiaomi Mi MIX also counts with a lot more megapixels back facing camera.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S7 Active. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy S7 Active, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
