Comparison review

The Galaxy S7 edge has a score of 78.1, which is a little bit better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 overall score. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S7 edge has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. Galaxy S7 edge's body has the same weight than HTC One M9, but it's way thinner.

HTC One M9 has a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, although it has a little worse amount of pixels per display inch, a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a bit smaller screen. HTC One M9 features a superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor, a 64-bit CPU and more processing cores (but slower).

The HTC One M9 takes a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a much tinier aperture which is worse for shooting photographs or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video quality, the HTC One M9 also counts with a back camera with a lot higher 20 mega pixels resolution and a larger sensor.

Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit more storage for games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy S7 edge also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 200 GB. The Galaxy S7 edge counts with greater battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity.

Although Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC One M9. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the HTC One M9, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
