The Huawei Mate 20 is just a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge, with a general score of 79.5 against 78.1. The Huawei Mate 20 design is newer than the Galaxy S7 edge's, although it's a little thicker and heavier. Both phones we are comparing include Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate 20 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo, so it gives you some additional features and improved performance.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei Mate 20 also has 4 more CPU cores. Huawei Mate 20 has just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a much worse pixel count per display inch and a bit lower 1080 x 2244 resolution, it also counts with a larger screen.

Huawei Mate 20 counts with a greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has an 11% greater battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
