Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is much better than the Galaxy S7 edge, having a general score of 89.4 against 78.1. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Although the Huawei Mate X is incredibly newer than Galaxy S7 edge, it is extremely heavier and a lot thicker.
Huawei Mate X counts with a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has just a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a higher number of pixels per display inch.
The Huawei Mate X has much more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate X features improved battery performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3600mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge takes a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a camera with a lot worse 12 mega-pixels resolution and a way tinier back camera sensor which gives a lot lower photo and video quality, it also counts with a larger aperture to capture better images and videos in low-light situations.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
