Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has an overall score of 78.1, which is slightly better than Moto G8 Power's 76 score. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's design is lighter and much thinner than the Moto G8 Power, despite of the fact that it was released 4 years before. Both phones we compare here include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Moto G8 Power has Android 10 version, so it offers some additional features.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features a little more vivid screen than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a greater pixel density. The Motorola Moto G8 Power counts with a much better memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 512 GB and 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Motorola Moto G8 Power features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Motorola Moto G8 Power also has a greater number of cores. Moto G8 Power shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller sensor taking less light and duller colors, and they both have a same size aperture, the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Moto G8 Power also counts with a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
Moto G8 Power has a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 39% larger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G8 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G8 Power. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto G8 Power, giving up some features and specifications.
