Comparison review

Galaxy S7 edge is just a bit better than the Moto Z2 Play, having a global score of 78.1 against 77.4. Although it's the best phone in our current comparison, the Galaxy S7 edge is an older, incredibly thicker and a little heavier phone than Moto Z2 Play. The Moto Z2 Play features a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Moto Z2 Play also has a higher number of cores.

The Galaxy S7 edge has a little bit better display than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Galaxy S7 edge also has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater display density. Galaxy S7 edge shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Moto Z2 Play. Both of them have a back camera with a 12 megapixels, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the same video frame rate and a same size aperture.

Moto Z2 Play has a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB and 32 GB more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge counts with longer battery lifetime than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 20% bigger battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola Moto Z2 Play. If you want to save some money, you can buy Motorola Moto Z2 Play, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
