Galaxy Note 5 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, having a global score of 79.3 against 78.1. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 5 has older 5.1 version while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Galaxy Note 5 is a a little heavier phone than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, but they are equally thin.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a slightly better display than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a quite worse pixel number in each inch in the display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1440, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a little bit bigger display.
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge counts with more memory for games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 200 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge also has more cpu cores.
Galaxy S7 edge has longer battery performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 3600mAh battery size. Galaxy Note 5 has a bit better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller sensor shooting lower quality images and videos and a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better 16 mega pixels resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs more money than the Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy S7 edge, giving up some specs and features.
