Comparison review

The Galaxy S5 Plus has a score of 78.1, which is a bit better than the Galaxy S7 edge's general score of 78.1. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S5 Plus has the previous 4.4.2 version while Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Galaxy S5 Plus body is just a little bit lighter than the Galaxy S7 edge, although it is a bit thicker and was released a bit more more than a year before.

The Galaxy S5 Plus features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy S7 edge, although it has a quite smaller screen, a little bit worse screen pixel density and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080. The Galaxy S7 edge features a way bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 32 GB internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 200 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a graphics processing unit. Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's camera is just as good as Galaxy S7 edge's camera, because although the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a tinier sensor taking less light and duller colors and a much smaller camera aperture which is worse for low-light photography, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge counts with improved battery duration than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity.

Despite of being the best phone in our current comparison, the Galaxy S5 Plus is also by far the cheapest.
