Comparison review
The Galaxy S7 edge has an overall score of 78.1, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport's global score of 77.8. These phones use Android OS, but Galaxy S7 edge has newer 8.0 Oreo version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has Android 4.4.2, so it provides you a lot of extra features. Galaxy S7 edge is a newer phone, and it's also thinner and just a little bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy S7 edge, although it has a lot worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, a bit smaller display and a just a bit lower quantity of pixels per inch of display. The Galaxy S7 edge counts with much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 200 GB and 16 GB more internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport also counts with a GPU. Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport's camera is very similar to the Galaxy S7 edge one, because although the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a way tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for taking photos and videos in poorly lited situations and a tinier back camera sensor, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, it also counts with a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has better battery duration than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than Galaxy S5 Sport, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S5 Sport. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Sport, resigning a couple specifications.
