The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a general score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy S7 edge's general score of 78.1. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a newer and just a little bit lighter cellphone than the Galaxy S7 edge, although it's also just a little bit thicker. The Galaxy S8 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a quite better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, a little bit higher pixel amount in each inch of display and a little larger screen.

Galaxy S8 counts with a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB and 32 GB more internal memory. Galaxy S8 counts with a bit better processor than Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy S8 also has a larger number of cores (and also faster).

Galaxy S7 edge features greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 3600mAh battery size.
